Or maybe it was the cameo appearance by my favorite, Steve Aoki. Whatever it was, this was the party to be at.

Like I said, getting in was tricky but well worth the hassle. Oh and if I haven’t already mentioned it, those SXSW tickets I bought for SIX HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FUCKING DOLLARS was a total bust! DON’T BUY A PASS, unless of course you want and need to go to the SXSW conferences.

You had to RSVP to everything regardless of your $670 pass, for every event in the day and at night, unless the party was free, in which case it was open to the public (and most likely lame).

So back to the best party at SXSW… It was going on during the same time as the Playboy Party, which I heard was also good but nowhere near as cool as the Fools Gold Party.

Oh and did I mention the bar at the FOOLS GOLD PARTY was open until 6am!? Which is usually against strict Texas law, but they managed to pull it off by finding a law-loophole. By closing the bar at 2am as usual, and then re-opening it at 2:30 as OPEN BAR they were legally allowed to serve drinks all night long. A sneaky but genius way around the Texas law system. Needless to say, recovery the next day, was a bitch.
